Known as the 'Champagne' of all raw honeys, this Scottish Heather Honey from Heather Hills Farm in the heartland of Scotland is semi-set. Step aside Manuka, according to recent studies, Scottish heather honey is the new super food. Scientists now think that it's even more effective for treating infections than its Kiwi cousin Manuka. This special honey has a highly intense, distinctive, warm, woody and floral aroma reminiscent of the Scottish Highlands. It is full-bodied, warm, and has a smoky palate of toffee with underlying notes of plum and coffee. The finish is endless, deep, malty and floral with a tanginess that lingers. Use as a glaze for pork, ham, game, poultry, salmon and trout, and also in cakes, bread and ice cream. Pair with Stilton, Cheddar or a semi-aged Goat's Cheese. 340 gms (12 oz)
